Clearance Pricing, Explained Simply

A straightforward guide to clearance costs for garages, lofts, sheds and spare rooms, with clear examples and no guesswork.

Final quotes are based on photos, access and volume, so you know where you stand before anything is booked.

How our pricing works

Clearance pricing is based on the space being cleared, not guesswork. Every job is different, which is why we don’t use fixed prices.
Instead, we work out a fair quote based on a few simple factors:

  • How full the space is – a lightly filled garage costs less than one packed floor to ceiling

  • Access – stairs, distance to the vehicle and parking all affect the time involved

  • Type of items – general household items vs heavier or awkward items

  • Time required – how long the clearance will realistically take

Once we’ve seen photos of the space, we’ll give you a clear, no-pressure quote so you know where you stand before anything is booked.

Example price ranges

The examples below are intended as a general guide to typical clearance costs. Final quotes are confirmed once we’ve seen photos (or in person) of the space, access and the type of items involved.

Garage clearance

– Small garage (lightly filled): starting from £200–£350
– Average garage: starting from £350–£600
– Large or very full garage: £600+

Please note that these prices are purely estimates, and garages packed tightly from floor to ceiling or containing heavier items may cost more due to time and handling involved.

Loft / attic clearance

– Small loft: starting from £250–£400
– Larger or heavily stored lofts: £400+

Please note that these prices are purely estimates, and loft access, head height and stair layout can affect pricing.

Shed & outbuilding clearance

– Small shed: starting from £150–£250
– Larger sheds or multiple structures: £250+

Please note that these prices are purely estimates, and multiple sheds or difficult access may increase the overall cost.

*These are guide prices only. We’ll always explain your quote clearly before anything is booked.

What’s included in the price

When you book a clearance with Moovar, the price covers the full job, not just turning up and loading items into a van.

  • Labour and lifting – all clearing and handling of agreed items

  • Removal from the property – including stairs and awkward access

  • Responsible sorting and recycling – items are dealt with properly

  • A tidy finish – the space is left clear and ready to use

There are no hidden extras added on the day. Once a quote is agreed, that’s the price you pay.

How we quote

Getting a quote from Moovar is straightforward.

1. You send photos of the space

A few clear photos showing the area you’d like cleared are usually enough. You can send these through our online form or via WhatsApp.

2. We review the details

We look at how full the space is, access, and the type of items involved so we can understand the job properly.

3. We confirm a clear quote

We’ll let you know the price and availability before anything is booked, so you can decide in your own time.

In most cases, this can all be done without an initial visit.
